Russ Posternak joined Yale Productions as the company’s Director of Development in 2017, after previously representing many of the company’s titles with his film publicity firm Post PR and in his earlier role of Director of Publicity at Daniels Murphy Communications and Murphy PR.
At Daniels Murphy Communications and Murphy PR, Russ worked with a diverse array of clients including Netflix, HBO, Magnolia Pictures and Showtime, creating and implementing national and New York publicity campaigns for theatrical releases, television programming, home entertainment, and corporate strategy, in addition to representing a slate of films each year at the major film festivals.
With Yale Productions, Russ is responsible for developing new projects and managing company relationships with current and potential creative partners, financiers, sales agents and distributors. Since joining the company, Russ has produced “Burn,” starring Josh Hutcherson, Suki Waterhouse and Tilda Cobham-Hervey, distributed theatrically via Entertainment One, “Separation,” directed by William Brent Bell and starring Rupert Friend, Madeline Brewer, Violet McGraw and Brian Cox, currently in post-production, and “Becky,” starring Kevin James and Lulu Wilson/. Russ Is also an executive producer of “Stowaway,” starring Anna Kendrick, Toni Collette and Daniel Dae Kim, which recently wrapped production. Titles co-produced by Russ with Yale Productions include “Crypto,” starring Kurt Russell, Alexis Bledel, and Beau Knapp, “Bailey and Darla,” starring Brittany Snow, Sam Richardson, Jordana Brewster and Vivica A. Fox, and “The Escape of Prisoner 614,” starring Ron Perlman, Martin Starr and Jake McDorman
